 SANDRA'S JUDGING QUALIFICATIONS
Sandra is a past President of the National Golden Retriever Breed Council, a position she held from 1999 to 2005. She has given the breed lecture for the Golden Retriever to aspiring candidates in New South Wales many times and is currently a member of the Dogs NSW Conformation Judges Training Committee. A Licensed Judge for over 25 years, Sandra holds an ALL BREEDS judging licence. She is licensed to judge ALL BREEDS worldwide. Her judging assignments are too many to list here but they have taken her to every state of Australia and many times internationally to both islands of New Zealand, Malaysia, Sweden and the UK. Some memorable appointments included the honour of judging SPECIALTY Golden Retriever Shows for:
as well as having judged Golden Retrievers in the UK and in Sweden. In Sweden she also judged English Springers, Labradors, Sussex Spaniels and Field Spaniels, as well as the gun dog group and best in show. The Labrador Retriever Championship Show in Wellington NZ was another memorable judging occasion. She has also been honoured to have judged some of the top Gundog Society Shows throughout Australia and New Zealand. The most recent being the Southern Gundog Society in Christchurch, drawing a record 282 gundogs. In the mid 1980's we owned and bred English Setters. Our English Setter (a son of Eng Ch Suntop Winterbreeze) won BIS under noted breed specialist Valerie Foss. We also exhibited a Doberman for some years. Judging assignments in all other groups have been many and now Sandra officiates at General Specials (Best in Show) level on many occasions. Sandra is also licensed to judge Novice and Open Obedience. Most recently she trialled Ch Lawnwoods Rustic Rian UD (Imp UK) and Ch Stenbury Sea Fantasy CDX (Imp Sweden) successfully to their respective obedience titles. |
